Housing Cost Certification
Jacobson Jarvis & Co works with not-for-profit organizations that construct low-income housing to provide them with required project cost assurance.
Project development organizations use a variety of methods to finance their projects, including IRS tax credits, loans from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and financing arrangements through the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.
We provide the independent certification of construction costs, as required by these types of financing programs. Depending on the financing entity, there are different requirements for the construction cost certification process. During the cost certification process we subject project construction costs to the same tests that we use in performing an organization-wide audit.
